Engineering trust into every drop.

Every morning, before the first customer walks into a workshop, before a single truck leaves a depot, before a machine turns over in a factory anywhere in Nepal, something has already been decided. Whether that engine runs cool. Whether that gearbox shifts clean. Whether that transformer holds through another monsoon. Lubricants are the part of industry nobody photographs and everybody depends on. It is not a glamorous business. It is an essential one, and I have never found reason to treat it as a small one.

For over four decades, Nepal Lube Oil Limited has carried the Gulf name in this country, alongside the Duckhams license, and we blend both at our own facility in Amlekhgunj, where we are now bringing synthetic formulation in-house rather than simply importing a drum and calling it expertise. That choice, made long before it was fashionable to talk about building in Nepal, is why Gulf is the brand mechanics across the country reach for first, and why our name sits behind so much of what keeps this country's transformers, trucks, and factory floors running without incident - including a factory floor that has now gone over a decade without a single reportable accident.

What our distributors, retailers, and mechanics build with us, dealership by dealership, drum by drum,  is the actual company. I am simply its custodian for this chapter.

None of what NLOL has built happens alone. It happens because of a network of distributors, retailers, and mechanics across Nepal who chose to build their own businesses around the Gulf name, and whom we do not, for a single day, take for granted.

We are building for the next chapter, too. Our Gulf Pride platform is putting real loyalty and real data into the hands of the mechanics who have always been our best salesforce. Our blending capability at Amlekhgunj means the next generation of lubricants for Nepal's vehicles, industries, and power infrastructure will increasingly be formulated here, to our own standard.

I think about Nepal's growth the way I think about a well-tuned engine: it depends on things that go unnoticed when they are working - reliable power, industries that trust their own supply chains, machinery that simply does not fail. As Nepal expands its hydropower capacity, grows its industrial base, and modernizes its vehicle fleet, the demand for that quiet reliability only grows. We intend to keep meeting it.

Mr. Arun K Chaudhary Sir nurtured this group on a simple belief: that a Nepali business could meet the world's engineering standard, and that what you build should be handed over as an institution, not held onto as a name. I try to run Nepal Lube Oil Limited on the same principle. My job is not to make myself indispensable to it. My job is to make sure it never needs to be.

To every dealer, distributor, mechanic, and customer who has trusted a can of Gulf oil to do exactly what it promises, Thank You. 

We built this leadership position together, and that is exactly how we intend to keep it.
